About Howard
A pianist, vocalist, saxophonist, composer, and songwriter with a career shaped by jazz, soul, R&B, pop, blues, and performance across varied stages and settings.

The artist
Howard Anderson is a Canadian pianist, vocalist, saxophonist, composer, and songwriter. In his piano-and-vocal performances, he draws from jazz, soul, R&B, pop, blues, originals, and familiar standards, combining a warm live piano sound with expressive vocals and a natural sense of pacing.
For cocktails and dinner, he can keep the music refined, relaxed, and conversation-friendly. In a lounge, private celebration, or feature performance, he can become more interactive and gradually bring greater energy into the set. His repertoire moves between classic material and contemporary songs without making the evening feel stylistically scattered.
Performing in English, French, and Spanish, Howard is a strong fit for cultural events and diverse audiences. His solo format brings the presence and spontaneity of live music without requiring the footprint of a full band.

Musical background
Piano from age five and saxophone from age ten established the two instrumental voices that still define Howard’s work.
Jazz studies at Humber College, followed by further saxophone study at the University of North Florida.
Years spent performing and working in Toronto, New York, and other music communities refined his approach to stagecraft, repertoire, and audience connection.
A compact piano-and-vocal presentation with optional saxophone, designed for hospitality, events, festivals, and focused listening environments.
